Design 1:
I found this quite simple to create and it looks as I imagined it to. I think that the use of padding within this design helped me to get the rolls of hair in the correct place and at the right height and angle to the scalp. The ringlet curls are as I wanted them, however I think that the whole hairstyle would look better if I used less hair in the curls, if I choose this as my final Miss Havisham hair design. Also, I feel that the twists that I have entwined with the top roll of hair do not stand out as much as I wanted them to. Therefore, I will use a material such as wire to give them a bit of height and stand out more, if I take this design further. Overall, I think that this is a good hairstyle for my Miss Havisham if I make the changes that I have mentioned above.
Design 2:
My second design was also fairly straightforward to create. It wasn't as simple as the first, as for this one I didn't use any padding when creating the rolls of hair. The backcombing of the roots in order to get the right height and volume of hair for the design was no trouble, however my model for Miss Havisham has a lot thicker hair than my doll's head, so it would require more time in the assessment. Overall though, I'm really happy with this design and I believe that it could be effective if I used it for my Miss Havisham character.
Design 3:
This was also straightforward to create, however curling the hair before creating the shape was quite time consuming, and it would be even more so in the assessment, as my model has really thick hair. Once I had curled the hair, the bun was really quick and simple to create. I don't feel that this hairstyle looks as effective as the previous two and it doesn't look quite as I imagined it to. I think that the curls around the face are too long, as I imagined them to be quite a lot shorter. I could try pinning the hair underneath in order to make it shorter, however I do not think this would have the right effect. Overall I don't think that this hair design works very well for my Miss Havisham character.
